What…Pizza that comes together faster than you can dial takeout? AND it’s a million times better, too? You can use any type of tortilla to make an amazing thin crust pizza.
We really like Almond Flour tortillas the best – they aren’t too flimsy, too stiff, or too chewy – and they’re easier on your diet than a standard corn or flour tortilla. Alternatively, we also love the combo corn/flour tortillas for taste and texture, but they’re a bit heavier on the calories (add +50 calories to this dish). The key to the taste for this 4-ingredient pizza is an amazing sauce and high quality cheese.
Ingredients
- 1 Almond Flour Tortilla
- 2 Tbsp Roasted Tomato Marinara
- 1 Oz Buffalo Mozzarella sliced
- Fresh Basil Leaves
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425F (convection), 450F (standard oven).
- Place Tortilla directly on rack in oven. Bake for 3 minutes.
- Turnover and bake for 1-2 more minutes – until crispy and golden.
- Remove from oven and set on parchment lined baking pan.
- Top with sauce and then cheese. Then finish with torn basil leaves.
- Return to oven for 3 minutes to melt the cheese.
- You can make the sauce listed above, or you can swap in a high quality store bought sauce or just slice up some fresh tomatoes. And for cheese, look for real buffalo mozzarella. And that’s it – you have an amazing Margherita pizza! And one more thing…the whole thing is just for you!
