Five Spice Peanuts

Serving size 1 Tbsp 68 cal Protein: 2 g Carbs: 4 g Fat: 5 g

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • ¼ C Raw Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Black Strap Molasses
  • 1 Tbsp Honey
  • 1 Tsp Chinese Five Spice 
  • 2 C Peanuts , unsalted, skinless

Directions

  1. Parchment line a baking sheet. Set Aside
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter, sugar, honey and molasses.
  3. Stir in 5 Spice. Bring to a boil. Let it boil for several minutes without stirring.
  4. When it reaches “soft ball” stage, remove from heat and stir in peanuts.
  5. Spread the mixture out on parchment paper.
  6. Let stand until it has hardened. Break into pieces and store in a sealed container.
