This recipe can easily be a full burger, a meatball, or a slider. In any of these preparations, we’ve reduced the calories first by eliminating a bun in favor of lettuce wraps. You could also use tomato halves in place of the bun. Then, we’ve simultaneously increased the flavor profile with garlic, tamari, and cotija cheese. The combination is incredible and will make it so you will never miss the bun.

Chicken Avocado Slider

Ingredients

  • 1 Lb Ground Chicken
  • 1 C Avocado , diced or smashed
  • 3 Cloves Garlic , minced
  • ¼ C Dehydrated Onions
  • ½ C Almond Flour
  • 1 Large Eggs
  • 1 Tsp Tamari (Soy) Sauce
  • Sea Salt & Pepper
  • 1 Tssp Olive Oil
  • Lettuce
  • Tomatoes , sliced
  • Cotija Cheese

Directions

  1. Combine Chicken, Avocado, Garlic, Onions, Flour, Egg, Tamari, and Seasonings. Form by hand or using a scoop, 16 mini burgers. Set Aside.
  2. Heat oil in saute pan over medium and cook burgers until crispy on the outside and cooked through. Set Aside.
  3. On a platter, place 16 lettuce leaves. Top each with a slice of tomato and a Chicken Burger. Garnish with some crumbled Cotija Cheese.
