Caramelized Onion Broth

We created an incredibly flavorful broth so you’ll never miss the butter, cream, or any other high-calorie dairy in this soup. Commonly, this soup is served with bacon, cheese, and sour cream. We opted to serve it with more of the caramelized onions and candied jalapenos to balance out the sweetness with a bit of spice.
Ingredients
- 1 C Caramelized Onions
- 8 cloves Garlic , thinly sliced
- ½ C Apple Cider Vinegar
- Sea Salt & Pepper
- 8 C Water
Directions
- In same pot that onions were caramelized, add garlic and seasons, then cook until fragrant.
- Add apple cider vinegar to deglaze the pan, scraping up the gorgeous onion bits.
- Cook until almost absorbed.
- Add water and simmer for 20 minutes.
